of GMSA's HIV/Aids Policy |

- To ensure a uniform and fair approach is adopted to the
effective prevention of HIV/Aids amongst employees and their
families; and
- To ensure the comprehensive management of HIV positive
employees and employees living with
Aids.
HIV/AIDS STRATEGY
- The primary objective of GMSA's HIV/Aids strategy is to
minimise the company and the employees risk to exposure.
This is achieved through instilling a prevention culture within the organisation through various education
and awareness programmes.
- Detection is an area which receives an ongoing
special focus and entails conducting tests among employees.
A recent example of this is the implementation of Aids
prevalence tests among a sample base of employees.
- Treatment is the final element of the company's
HIV/Aids strategy and is geared towards providing medication
to affected employees.
